Our Projects
Smart Building Systems for Sustainability and Modern Living
The Smart Building we designed is a multi-purpose building, with its primary uses consisting of residential and commercial function. There are also spaces designated for co-working spaces and out-door offices, which are all designed with the basis of connecting the building residents and occupants with nature in as many ways as possible through the use of nature-like, woody designs, gardens, indoor plants, etc. This will be a prevalent theme spanning the whole of the building in both the residential area and the commercial sector. Keeping in mind the energy usage that the whole building would be consuming, one of the most important features of this building is its ability to save that energy through the utilization of photovoltaic power. Located in the heart of the city of Bangkok, the building will have no problem gathering solar power with around 11-12 hours of sunlight a day. Although the average effective sunlight will be lower, its location enables it to make the most use out of the renewable energy source. Water usage, too, is an important aspect in sustainable living, and the building will have water harvesting system features that may help assist with this goal. General waste management in the building will be handled in a number of many different ways, fundamentally focusing on how to effectively collect, sort, and organize the waste it generates itself.
